Who is The Professor (other than an obvious clone of Dr. Strangelove)?

So far, we have seen him in the following two episodes:

1. The Tick vs. Dinosaur Neil
2. Ants in Pants!

In these episodes, The Professor is confined to a wheelchair. The question is, did we see him in Grandpa Wore Tights? In that episode, during a flashback narrated by The Decency Squad, we see Joseph Stalin and The Terror working with a scientist named Dr. Think. In the flashback, Dr. Think creates an army of Atomic Robot Zombie Men for the evil duo. We don't see Dr. Think's face until the end of the flashback (and for only a second) but he looks similar to The Professor. We are unable to tell whether Dr. Think is in a wheelchair.

Could this mean that The Professor had a secret and villainous past? If so, he seems to be using his knowledge to fight evil now. Can he be forgiven? We will see if this mystery is cleared up in future episodes of The Tick.
